The long overdue “2009 Collection” Volume 7 mix is finally here. After taking a short break to go on holiday I have finally got back on the decks and I’ve come up with something quite special. I feel as if I have really outdone myself with this one, the track selection is almost perfect in my opinion. I have a lot of brand new tracks in this mix aswell, some of which were just released a day or two ago from posting this. I also have a very special promo song from Pawel Maeryn in this mix, its definetly one of my favourite tracks out of all of them along with Tuvan by Armin van Buuren. I would really appreciate feedback on this mix so please leave a comment below or drop me an e-mail and let me know what you think of it. This entire mix was mixed using CDJ-1000s and a DJM-700, for more information on my equipment click here. The end of the week has rolled around again, it seems that weeks are going by faster and faster lately. The overall situation at home really hasn’t changed much either, my Dad is still in hospital and I really miss Megan. I really don’t see things changing anytime soon either unfortunately. My Dad is still on the mend and things are getting better but progress is slow so we still have no idea when he will be able to come back home. On the opposite side of the spectrum I am progressing well with my driving lessons. I had two lessons last week and I feel like I’ve made significant progress and that I’m finally getting there. Who knows, maybe I’ll take my test soon. I’m not very worried about taking my test, everyone keeps telling me stories about how nervous they were when they took it but I really don’t see myself getting nervous at all, it could just be because It’s not a reality yet. Talking of driving I bought a new game this week because of a sale on Steam. The game I bought is called “Race-driver: GRID” and It’s exactly what it says it is, It’s a racing game. I particularly enjoy it though because of the steering wheel mode you can have. I know it seems quite a trivial thing to have in a game but every racing game I have played prior to this has been without a steering wheel mode and it annoys me. I’m not sure what it is but if I’m going to play a racing game I would like to at least pretend that I’m inside the car. So far the game is really fun, I’m not very far into it at the moment though, but from what I can tell it has a load of different racing modes and tournaments similar to Gran Turismo. I assume the further you get into the game the more features and cars you will unlock. I’m happy I’ve found a game to play though, in between searching for a Christmas job and mixing (which I can’t unfortunately do all of the time because of my neighbours) I get quite bored. Speaking of jobs, I forgot to mention I am now searching for a Christmas job. I’ve applied for several positions so hopefully I get some sort of response from them. I’m quite hopeful to hear something back from the Royal Mail because they seem to recruit just about anyone for Christmas, fingers crossed! I’m going to go and see the brand new Ricky Gervais film next week called “The Invention Of Lying” which should be fun. If you haven’t seen the trailer for it check out the video below.
Earlier this week I finally finished my brand new “2009 Collection” mix, Volume 7. If you haven’t downloaded it yet I highly suggest you do by clicking here. So far the feedback has been really good. I’m very proud of Volume 7, I feel as if I did a really good job on the mixing and the track selection. Volume 7 will be premiered on NERadio Sweden sometime in the next few weeks, I’m still waiting for a solid date to be set by the radio station before I announce things. Keep an eye out on my website for information on show times, alternatively you can become my fan on Facebook or follow me on Twitter in case you need a reminder. Global Hardcore Alliance 11 and 12 were both finished this week as well. The Ritual will be available on the Global Hardcore Alliance website this coming week as soon as the album artwork is done and The New Blood will be available to listen to on Digitally Imported Radio on the Hardcore channel rotation as soon as it’s accepted. I have listend to the Ritual and let me tell you, It’s awesome. The vocals that Leto has done for the mix are really cool as well, I would try and explain them but it would be impossible so you will have to just wait until It’s available for download to listen for yourself. This week I’ve been working on a competition entry for the Mixed In Key competition which involves creating a 10-15 minute mix which will showcase your favourite genre. The real catch is that it all has to be mixed harmonically, which causes quite a problem for me. I’m not used to making 15 minute mixes, and I’m also not used to mixing Hardcore harmonically. I figured I would go with Hardcore because I can cram a lot more songs into a 15 minute limit then I could with Trance. So far I havn’t come up with anything, but I have until the 15th of October so hopefully I come up with something incredible. I believe I’m going to have to bust out the good old CDJ-800s so I have a 4 turntable setup to make something somewhat decent. Winning a competition like that will be almost impossible but It’s worth a try I suppose. Anyay I’m going to leave this post here, It’s 01:05am now and I’m getting very tired. I feel as if I am just rambling now so have a good week everyone and I’ll see you next time. Don’t forget to spread the word about Volume 7 as best you can!
The past 10 days have been absolutely amazing. Me and Megan have done so many new things I don’t even know where to begin. I suppose I should start with the first day, well the second I guess because on the first day we just lazed around watching TV in the hotel. We went to visit my Dad who is doing a lot better might I add. He was diagnosed and he has started treatment and things are on the mend which is a huge sigh of relief for myself and my family. After visiting my Dad we went to see District 9 at the cinema which is absolutely amazing. If you haven’t seen this movie yet I suggest you do. I wont spoil the film for those who haven’t watched it yet but all I have to say is that the focking prawns were awesome. We toured around London’s main attractions during the week, we went to the London Eye and took a boat tour around the river Thames. The London Eye is definitely not as fun the second time as it was the first, Megan didn’t find it interesting at all but that probably has something to do with her going to the Sears Tower during her layover in Chicago on the way over to England. The boat tour on the other hand was fantastic, I learnt quite a few things about the city I live in from it. I also got to go under tower bridge which I’ve never done before. After we finished our boat tour we attempted to go to Westminster Abbey which I kind of ruined by insisting we went across the bridge via the Underground. Unknown to my knowledge the Jubilee line is a million feet underground and the map is slightly confusing to, so I got us lost and it winded up taking about forty five minutes to get there instead of the five it would of took if we walked. Not only that but once we arrived at Westminster Abbey we found out it cost £15 per person and it was shut, so time was wasted. I did however chase a pigeon around for five minutes just outside of the Abbey which Megan took pictures of, you can see one of them here. While we were in London we took a visit to Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill which is one of his restaurant near the embassy’s in London. It cost us a fair bit, £50 for the two of us to be exact but it was absolutely incredible. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection and the service was immaculate. I got a Full English Breakfast and my choice of the Continental breakfast buffet. It was very expensive but very worth it in my opinion. You can view a picture of the breakfast by clicking here.
We went to Bath for two days which was also incredibly fun. We took the train directly from Waterloo which was very confusing because half way through the journey the train splits so you have to make sure you’re in the right carriage otherwise you will be left behind. Fortunately we managed to figure out the system and we got to Bath safely. My first impressions of Bath was somewhat “meh” but as we explored the town a bit more I finally realised that It’s incredibly beautiful. The fact that every house is made out of a certain type of brick and It’s the same colour really looks amazing from a distance. When we got to Bath we got a drink at Starbucks and awaited our tour bus to Stonehenge. The tour bus took about 4 hours and it took us to Stonehenge, Lacock town and then back again. Let me start of by saying that the bus was miserable. Not only was it very small and incredibly hot but the asian guy sitting next to me spread his legs like he was a porn star. He took up all of the leg room and then he started eating really nasty food next to me, sea food to be exact. So not only did he have his legs spread but there was a fishy smell coming from his direction. Very unpleasant indeed. Once we got to Stonehenge we were very disappointed. I understand that Stonehenge is a bunch of ancient rocks but I wasn’t aware that I had to observe the ancient rocks from a distance. It wasn’t even a short distance, you couldn’t get anywhere near them at all and it was really boring. I’m usually fascinated with Stonehenge but actually seeing it in person kind of killed that enthusiasm I had for it. Despite all of the negatives me and Megan had fun together, if I was by myself I would of wanted to kill myself though. After seeing Stonehenge I got back on the bus with Megan and the pornographic posing Asians for another hour worth of driving to the town of Lacock. We stopped in Lacock for about 45 minutes which we spent most of that time in the pub. Lacock is an old town with a lot of history to it, so much history to the point that you can only live there if you have a family history that ties to the town. Personally even if I could live there I wouldn’t, It’s very small and there really is no entertainment, besides the pubs which are bound to get boring after a while. To emphasise on how small this town really is we were able to explore the entire town in about 5 minutes. After finishing my pint of Guinness we got back on the bus and returned to Bath. Overall the tour bus was a bit of a let down but we had fun none the less. We explored the Roman Baths and the Bath Abbey when we returned to Bath, both of which are incredibly beautiful. While we were in Bath we managed to go to Sally Lunn’s which was delicious. Sally Lunn’s is the oldest house in Bath which also happens to be a world famous restaurant and home of the Sally Lunn’s Buns. I had a bun with smoked Salmon on it followed by a sweet bun with clotted cream and jam. Me and Megan both had a lot of fun in Bath and we really hope to return one day in the near future. Check out the picture of me having a pint below.

France, all I can say is wow. Paris is an absolutely amazing city. I really didn’t think I would be impressed by France because I thought I had seen it all before. I figured it would be very similar to London in the sense that it was a big grimy city with an underground system and a lot of people. But I was very wrong, Paris is actually a very clean city and the architecture is incredible. You really don’t get an appreciation for the famous landmarks there until you see them in person. When we first arrived in France via the Eurostar it was raining pretty heavily so we took the bus towards a place called “Gare Saint-Lazare”. As we stepped off the bus we walked down a street and stumbled upon the French Opera house by complete chance and boy were we impressed. I don’t know what it is about this building but I was amazed at the sight of it. Maybe it was the gold statues on the top or just the style it was built in but I really liked it. Unfortunately we couldn’t go inside of it, just like most of the French landmarks because of the price and the lines, but maybe next time. We visited the famous shopping centre the “Galleries Lafayette” which was just around the corner from the Opera house. We didn’t buy anything there, well I didn’t at least. Megan bought some gifts from the gourmet food shop they had there for her family, but the clothing department was just ridiculous. It’s home to a lot of world famous designers such as Louis Vuitton, DK, Marc Jacob and a shit load more. I don’t know why I was so impressed from seeing a Louis Vuitton store but I just was. The prices were absurd though, it was like 3000 euros for a hand bag, ridiculous. And to think that I even considered buying a scarf in this place, in my dreams. After visiting the Galleries Lafayette we went to see the Eiffel Tower which was fun. Of course we didn’t go up it though, you should of seen the lines, they were huge. I’m scared of heights anyway so it probably wouldn’t of been the best idea. The sight from the ground was really cool though. We kept getting approached from beggars near the tower though which got slightly annoying, all of these guys had these Eiffel Tower key chains which they kept asking you to buy for 1 euro. There were literally like 60 people selling them and they would run from the police if they came near them, it was somewhat odd. After the Eiffel Tower we went on another boat cruise which was cool, the commentary was slightly annoying because you had to hold a really uncomfortable metal phone to your face the whole time, and the wire was to short as well which made it even worse. Me and Megan still enjoyed it though, the city is amazing when you see it from the water, It’s gorgeous. For the last part of our trip to Paris we went to the Arc De Triomphe which was also really cool to see in person. The atmosphere around it was the best though, there were a lot of street performers and everyone seemed to generally be in a good mood. I would really like to return to France again someday, maybe next time we will stay for more then just a day and explore it more. I highly suggest going there if you haven’t before, you wont be disappointed. Unfortunately Megan had to go back to America, which isn’t the end of the world. Infact I’m more excited then sad because I’ll finally be moving there very soon. I have my embassy interview scheduled so hopefully I get approved to move very soon. This will be the last time I have to say goodbye. Oh did I mention? I managed to get Megan to go to Pizza Hut! And it actually tasted like the Pizza Hut I remembered, thank god. Overall we had a fantastic time together and I can’t wait to do more stuff like this in the future. As always you can view some of the photographs from our trips over on the Photos page, check it out.

Anyway, let me fill you in with what is happening with some of my latest projects. As I said, I’ve updated the Photos page on my website, I’ve also updated the Videos page to. I’ve added two new sections to the videos page for my trip to Paris and Bath. Some of the videos there aren’t so great but at least there is something. I’ve also added new videos the Alaska Videos and the DJ Videos section so be sure to check them all out when you get a chance. I’ve updated my contact and about page as well with a more up to date bio and new information. On the music side of things you can expect to hear my “2009 Collection” Volume 7 mix sometime next week. I’ve been patiently awaiting the release of a few new songs before I start working on it and now they are finally here I can begin. It should be ready around Thursday so stay tuned, but trust me it will be worth the wait, some of the songs I have lined up for it are insane. Don’t forget to keep an eye on my site in the upcoming weeks though, because you can expect quite a lot of new things. The “Global Hardcore Alliance 11: The Ritual” mix will be released very soon along with “Global Hardcore Alliance 12: The New Blood”. Number 11 is a Gabber collaboration project between DJs Leto, Jimo, Virtual XTC and Bluecore. Where as Number 12 is a UK Hardcore collaboration project between DJs Sivan, Quentin and Jimo. The links for both Global Hardcore Alliance mixes will be available once they are completed but it shouldn’t be long now. In the next week or two you can also expect a guest mix from me on the Swedish Candy Show on Digitally Imported Radio, so keep an eye out on this website or Facebook/Twitter for the dates and times for that. But that really is just about it. I did have a really big announcement I wanted to make this week but due to delays I’m unable to. Maybe next week I’ll be able to tell you about it though, all I can say is that It’s going to be awesome. Anyway that is just about it from me, I will resume my regular weekly blog posting starting next week with the Week In Review. Don’t forget to become my fan on Facebook or follow me on Twitter so you know when I release new stuff, or just simply check back here. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment, and have a fantastic weekend!
It’s been a very up and down week. I don’t really know how to explain it really, I’ve gone from extreme amounts of excitement to being incredibly worried, and then back to being excited again. My Dad is having so many problems it’s getting me very worried. I spent all day on Friday at Kingston hospital in Accident and Emergency waiting until about 10 at night just to be told nothing is wrong and we can leave. Obviously something is wrong though because he can hardly walk. I wont go into much detail but things aren’t good, and when hospitals give us the run around it doesn’t help one bit. But there is a reason to be happy this week. Megan arrives next week on Saturday! It’s really exciting, I haven’t seen her since I left Alaska in April and I miss her so much. I would try and describe how much I miss her but I don’t think I could. We have so much planned it’s going to be awesome, were going to France, Bath and all sorts of places in Central London. I’m particularly excited about visiting Gordon Ramsays restaurant, the menu looks incredible. Talking of food I’m going to somehow get her to eat at Pizza Hut with me, she keeps denying but she just hasn’t been converted to the UK Pizza Hut awesomeness. Everyone from Raven Guard will know that I love Stuffed Crust pizza there, because it is after all the best. I will be sure to post pictures of everything once I’m back if I can get my camera working. It stopped working earlier this week and I haven’t been able to fix it. Good thing Megan is bringing her camera with her so there isn’t much to worry about.
I’m very happy to reveal my brand new website logo today. Yue Yuma from Deviantart kindly redesigned it for me over the last 2 weeks and I think it looks absolutely fantastic. The idea is a more “Hardcore” version of my old logo, so it looks a lot more evil this time around. I’ve added it to the banner rotation at the top, so if you can’t see it keep clicking refresh until you do. I will be trying to change the secondary website colour to orange later this week so I can use the original unedited version of the logo because the colouring is out of this world. You can see the brand new official Jimo logo in its true colours below! I absolutely love it.

On the music front this week I finished quite a few things this week. The first thing I did earlier this week was record a new b2b mix with someone named PaulDefaire which you can catch on NERadio this coming Wednesday. I went for a very experimental finish to it. I initially had the plan to end the set with some Drum and Bass but I got a bit carried away, and it ended up going from Drum and Bass to Gabber and breaks. I think it sounds really good and I hope you guys will think so to. The first 30 minutes were recorded by PaulDefaire and the last 40 minutes were recorded by me. Another mix which was finished earlier this week was “Global Hardcore Alliance 12: New Blood” which is a brand new mix from the Global Hardcore Alliance mixed by DJs Sivan Quentin and Jimo. It’s something you really don’t want to miss out on. As far as I know it will be available to download on the Global Hardcore Alliance website later this week, I’ll post it up here aswell when It’s up. Another Global Hardcore Alliance mix which also should be finished this week is “Global Hardcore Alliance 11″ which is an all gabber mix mixed by Virtual XTC, Leto, DJ Bluecore and Jimo. I finished my part for it today and I believe we are just waiting on a part from DJ Bluecore and we are all good to go. I know what you’re thinking, 12 was finished before 11? Well.. yeah, I don’t know what happend there. I will be starting work on my brand new Hardcore website mix and “2009 Colletion” Volume 7 when I’m back from my holiday to, so stay tuned for all of the new goodies coming your way soon!
Earlier this week I found my old Warhammer 40k paints in my cupboard. Even 10 years down the line they have kept very well. Apparently it’s to do with the Lead in them so they never dry up. It’s good and bad, good because they never expire, bad because if you put them in your mouth you could get lead poisoning. But who eats figurines anyway? When I was younger I used to paint Blood Angel Space Marines and I was really bad at it. I found my old models to and they were very badly painted, It’s almost embarrassing. But hey, I was 8 at the time so cut me some slack. I decided to buy a pack of Chaos Marines from my local Games Workshop yesterday after being inspired by this. So far I’m about 2 days into it. I’ve finished painting the wheels and I spray painted everything with a black base paint. I can’t wait to show you guys the finished project. I think it will take me about a month to have my whole army finished seeing as theres about 30 units. Who knows I might play a few games at the local shop when I’m done! Below is a picture of me constructing my Chaos Rhino tank, fun stuff!

Anyway I believe it is time for me to head to bed, I have a really bad headache and for some reason I feel like I’m going to be sick. I can’t even see straight right now. Don’t forget to tune into NERadio on Wednesday to hear the new mix from myself and PaulDefaire. I might make a post later this week before I go on holiday with Megan but if I don’t you will hear from me when I’m back. I hope you guys enjoy the new mixes coming up, I’ve got more projects in the pipeline which I can’t announce just yet but I will fill you in as soon as I can. Let me know how your week went by leaving a comment below. Feel free to follow me on Twitter for more up to the minute updates and become my fan on Facebook!
