One of the things at the top of my priority list is to get my DJ equipment back in order. I really had my work cut out for me shipping my equipment over. The first problem I encountered is the fact that they use UK plugs. For some reason the 1000s do not have the option to be backwards compatible with American power outlets. Another annoying factor is that the room they will be in only has two power outlets, which makes using multiple transformers impossible. I have two options really, I could sell my 1000s and buy them out in America or I could get an electrician to install more power points down in the basement. The reason why is because you can’t plug a transformer into a power strip, because it’s dangerous or something. I’m leaning more towards selling/buying because I don’t really want to invest money into a property I don’t officially own. Although, that way then I could add another addition to the family in the form of a second CDJ-2000. You may be asking why I am saying a second one, that is because I sold my old old setup back at home (The CDJ8000s & the DJM-400) and I have purchased myself a brand spanking new Pioneer CDJ-2000. It’s a big investment but I’m looking forward to playing around with it (Or them soon hopefully!). The room they will be placed in still needs a lot of work, it still needs a carpet put down and it needs to be painted. It also needs a light, because it doesn’t have one at all. I hope to have all work completed by next week, which should leave me with more then enough time before my equipment arrives. I still need to get back on track with my weekly radio show and start work on the “2010 Collection”. Don’t worry though, London Sounds Exposed will not stop over the duration, because I have prepared several special shows for you guys which will play while the work is completed. I shall have more pictures of my “studio” for you guys as soon as possible, I would like to keep my blog updated with all the progress on it as best as I can. If any of you have any suggestions for what to do with the walls, perhaps colour or anything along those lines feel free to drop a comment. To continue my mass spending spree I have also purchased myself a new computer. I hope to get myself busy with music production a bit more seriously. Sadly my previous computer would just lag out with music production software, so this one should be a bit better! Well… a lot better, this thing has a quad core with 12 gigs of ram! I bought the computer from Alienware, I’ve wanted one since I was like 12 and I’ll soon have one. It arrives on the 1st of March, so I need to get things ready for it! I’ll be sure to post some pictures of it once it arrives.

I’m happy to be back here in Alaska, and I’m going to make the most of it. I’m excited to have a bowl of Pho and to go to all of the brilliant restaurants which are here. I hope to keep you all updated with what happens here, so stay tuned for some more detailed posts very soon. For now though, I’m going to head back into the basement and finish the painting!
