So a while ago I was talking about how I was reading the Deus Ex comics. Apparently it was a little harder then expected to get the final three editions. However, Megan surprised me on valentines day though by finding them for me! I finished reading them all today, and the ending was fantastic. I would still strongly reccomend reading them to anybody who is a fan of the games.

As I mentioned in a previous post I’ve been trying out Counter Strike Global Offensive with the CD key that my other half acquired. They did a big update last week and I am really enjoying some of the changes, especially the new sub machine gun and maps. Check out some of my screenshots below, the game is very much a work in progress but hopefully now the beta has started it will see more frequent updates.
Unfortunately these are my wife’s screenshots. I’m still on the hunt for my own key though, so if you have a spare and wish to make me incredibly happy, send one my way.

I’m really interested in trying different kinds of beer from around the world. Every time I drink I make an effort to get something unusual which I haven’t tried before. Which leads us to this new journal thing, Jimo Drinks Beer. I read all of these beer reviews on the internet, and I have no clue what half of them even mean. So to save myself from looking like a pretentious twat, I’ll explain my experiences in a way everyone can understand

This week I tried two different kinds of beer, but lets start with the first one, the “Panty Peeler” by Midnight Sun brewery company, located locally in Anchorage. When I went to buy this I bought a crate of Mike’s Hard Lemonade for Megan, because she isn’t much of a beer fan. At the time of purchasing this I thought it was named Pantry Peeler as I didn’t bother to look at the label properly until I got home, so the woman at the counter saw me purchasing girly drinks and a bottle named “Panty Peeler”. I really wish I knew what she was thinking when I walked up to the counter, probably not very good things.
So how was Panty Peeler? It was nice but not my favourite. It’s brewed with Orange and Corriander and you definitely get that, but I think the combo is just a little too strange for my taste buds. Overall, it was nice, but not the best. But I am intrigued to try more of there beers, so I’ll buy the Kodiak Brown Beer soon, as I’ve heard from people that it’s one of there best.

The second bottle I tried was “The Tide And Its Takers” by the Anchorage Brewing Company. This one was fantastic, it has such a sharp flavour to it and I really enjoyed the taste. It’s a 10%, and I liked it so much I drank the entire bottle, so you can probably see where that went. Overall I definetly recommend trying this, it’s a new favourite of mine.
I have no idea how to tell the difference between the hops and the bops, so these will probably turn into the worst beer reviews in the world, and if so, I can blame it on being drunk. More coming soon, maybe.
