Week In Review 19/01/10 (Mischeif & Tha Playah)

Exciting times or what. I have been so busy lately that I have had just about no time at all to sit down and write something for my website. The little time I have had has involved me working on some of my projects or sleeping late into the afternoon. So where do I start? Well, to kick things off my contract was extended at my work which means I will be gracing the shop floor with my presence for a little while longer. The only twist is that instead of selling women’s clothing I will be selling women’s underwear instead. It’s definitely a strange change of circumstances that’s for sure. The benefit of it all though has definitely got to be waking up early. I wake up at like 4am so I can get there in time, which during the moment but once I get going it feels great. I can even indulge myself with large quantities of McDonalds breakfast which is always a plus. Alas though, I will be moving in February so all of this is short lived. I’m sure I can find a way to fulfil my Mcdonalds cravings across the pond though. Although on the subject of Mcdonalds breakfast, I’ve been watching a program on BBC Three recently called Mischeif. If you havn’t seen it before I suggest that you do. Theres a two part episode where Mr Riley gos around researching shit food and you learn a thing or two about MRM (Mechanically Recovered Meat) and food processing plants. Earlier this week on my Facebook page I promised some previews of my new website design and the 2010 Collection artwork. Things are still in the work for those. I am trying to get new voice overs done also for the 2010 collection as well. I don’t particularly want to retire the don but I believe change is a good thing. I have no idea who is going to be doing the new voice overs but I intend on getting someone that you will more then likely recognise. All will be revealed soon I assure you. Talking of all will be revealed, the first mix of 2010 from the Global Hardcore Alliance is now complete. If you are interested in downloading it click here. It’s our biggest mix project so far where 9 DJs are involved, those being Leto, Sivan, Axiom, Cojami, Quentin, Jimo, Ixnay, Virtual XTC and DJ Bluecore. It’s been a good while since I have had a bit of a rant on my website, and this one has been a long time coming. But what I would like to know is what is up with that ridiculous Islam4uk group that has been going around? I’m all for the idea of free speech but this is just plain stupid. These people claim to speak on behalf for an entire religion and plan terrible things. Yet all the UK government can muster is a simple ban to the group. What is stopping them from reforming? The fact that they weren’t imprisoned or prevented from marching in Wootton Bassett is absurd. The troops who are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan deserve our respect, there deaths don’t need to be disgraced by some radical group. The war we are fighting is indeed a pointless one, but they are not given the choice. There is reason to be angry at the government as they are in charge, but not at the troops. Another laughable fact of all of these troublemakers is that they are all on Job Seekers Allowance. They claim to hate England, and that “Islam” will take over but they sure do like to leech of the public wealth, claiming the money belongs to Allah. I have honestly never heard something so ridiculous in my life.

I hope everyone has had a great couple of weeks, I will be back to regular posting very soon. One thing before I go though, if you havn’t already got the new album from Tha Playah I suggest you go out and get it. Some of the tracks on there are ace. Another album to get is the 2009 State of Trance Yearmix by Armin van Buuren. Both are as good as eachother! I’ll leave a preview to one of Tha Playahs songs below.
